Our New Year's tradition (well, two years running) is to head to our friends the Aust's home for some New Year fun. We ate lots of food, the kids played and played, the guys watched the Laker game, the girls chatted and helped with the various costume changes of the girls...
We had such fun! We did an east coast New Year's at 9:00, but I think the kids might have been able to wait until midnight...they were excited! The Austs provided noise makers, hats, beads, poppers, and a balloon drop...it was quite a festive night.
The journey has been nothing like I thought it would be, and yet I am thankful. Thankful for almost 11 years married to the most amazing man...almost 9 years with my little girl who has taught me more than she'll ever know...and 6 years with my little boy who daily, moment by moment reminds me that Jesus is in the details of life. The past 5 years have been rough and there are moments of hurt still, but daily it is a journey in being held by Jesus...and resting in His love for us.
