the month over the past seven years has held some of the hardest moments of my life...
* seven years ago leukemia reared its ugly head and wrecked havoc on our lives.
* five years ago my dad struggled with his heart and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
* four years ago relapse became a reality and another bone marrow transplant loomed
* three years ago i lost one of the greatest woman i've ever known, my aunt frankie.
it's a rough month on my heart...
and yet, this morning in worship i was reminded...
you are stronger
you are stronger
sin is broken
you have saved me
it is written
Christ is risen
Jesus you are Lord of all
and today i will rest...rest in my Savior who is stronger.

I think all of us who have been through this kind of thing have a "month". Mine is April - the month my precious son went into heart failure, crashed and had a major stroke. And then there is November, when he failed again and had days to live - But then came precious December... the month we celebrate our Savior's birth, the month my sweet twins were born and the month that gave us hope as my son received a heart transplant four days after his 17th bday.
Hold on tight sweet lady.... your gorgeous girl is doing so well and your family has you covered in prayer and support! Really, in the end, what more can we ask for?
gena....a devoted reader and a transplant mommy who thinks of your sweet girl often and holds her in prayer daily....
