there will be a day...

As I was driving home this morning from running a few errands this song came on the radio, and I won't lie tears streamed down my face...

There Will Be A Day~ Jeremy Camp

I try to hold on to this world with everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings, and the hurt that trys to grab
The many trials that seem to never end, His word declares this truth,
that we will enter in this rest with wonders anew

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we’ll hold on to you always

I know the journey seems so long
You feel your walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you’ve walked out all alone

Troubled soul don’t lose your heart
Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that’s in store
Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting

I can’t wait until that day where the very one I’ve lived for always will wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced
To touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame and misery this is why this is why I sing….

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face

There will be a day, He’ll wipe away the stains, He’ll wipe away the tears, He’ll wipe away the tears…..there will be a day.

The words ring so true...deep within my heart. That for all of this, for all this is there will be a day...and what a day it will be. And the words that get me the most...

I know the journey seems so long
You feel your walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you’ve walked out all alone

Troubled soul don’t lose your heart
Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that’s in store
Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting

The beauty that's in store, oh if I could just get this silly, human heart of mine to see that beauty and stop holding so tightly this broken world. All this world has to offer can never satisfy...I know that, I have heard devotionals, lessons, sermons on that very topic. And yet here I still anxious over how to make it work...I admit it I spend a lot more time focusing on the right here and right now, instead of the beauty of it all.

My favorite verse from Amazing Grace is the last one..."When we've been there ten thousand years..." My mind cannot even begin to fathom that...ten thousand years and it will feel as if it's all brand new. Because it is...

And that beauty outweighs the hurt of life's sting...

Sometimes in the right here right now it sure doesn't feel like it, but oh isn't it great that feelings have nothing to do with it. It will...

And there will be a day...and He is teaching me to long for that day.

That is such a great song. I always manage to hear it on my way into work and it does send the tears falling. Reminds me of the hope we have to carry on.
